A GENEROUS boss is digging deep to reward the staff who have helped keep him in the top of his field.
Simon Prescott, owner of the UK’s fastest growing adult chain store Nice ‘n’ Naughty, is rewarding all 41 members of his workforce for their hard work over the past six months by treating them to a week in a luxury Egyptian villa.
“We’ve always run an employee reward scheme and originally we were going to have just one winner but this time around we really couldn’t chose between them,” he said.
“Each and every one of them has been a real asset. They’re determined, dedicated, proactive and in the past six months they’ve given 100 per cent and more.”
Business is booming for the chain which launched in Chester eight years ago and at a time when the retail industry is enduring a national slump, Nice ‘n’ Naughty is bucking the trend with all aspects of the business –which comprises wholesale, web retail and 11 stores – enjoying a continued increase in sales.
Proud recipients of an Investor In People award and two prestigious ETO Adult Industry Award – for which the business has been nominated again this year – Mr Prescott attributes a large portion of this success to his employees.
“It is this level of dedication which has helped me grow the business and I wanted to reward that so I’ve decided to send them all for a week’s holiday in Sharm El Sheikh,” he said.
“It’s very difficult to find great employees and we have been very lucky to have such a brilliant workforce.
“It might seem like a grand gesture to some people but my philosophy is quite simple. It’s important to look after your staff properly because if you don’t there will always be someone else who will.”
